A growing equipment manufacturer has an immediate need for a Finance Director familiar with generally accepted accounting procedures; both US GAAP and IFRS to join the team and work out of the Illinois corporate location. The Director of Finance will lead initiatives to drive and measure process improvements for the operating units within the company. Also, this position leads an accounting and finance team in support of profitable, efficient business operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for all finance and accounting transactions related to general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, budgeting, cost accounting and cash management.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and maintain compliance with applicable federal & state regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Manage cost accounting and inventory control including valuation.
Compile and analyze monthly financial results to explain variations from budget/forecast. Perform forecasting and make recommendations for changes to meet business goals.
Direct and review budgets, strategic planning, acquisitions and divestitures, operations planning/analysis and implement policies and procedures.
Build and manage a competent and engaged finance and accounting team (8+ team members).
As a member of the core management team and a key business partner, advise other functional managers by providing financial analysis, planning, decision making and control.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and productivity, implement initiatives for business improvement to ensure the organization meets its goals.
Provide oversight and coordination of operating reports and statutory filings, establish, and maintain financial controls.
