SUMMARY:  As a Personal Banker, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service experiences for our customers. In addition to assisting with everyday teller transactions, you will have the opportunity to identify customer needs, cross-sell bank products, and help customers with their banking needs.

JOB FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSITBILTIES:  

• General knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures pertaining to customer service and teller operations
• Maintain basic knowledge of banking products and services
• Perform a variety of assignments connected with the opening of new accounts to performing everyday teller services. 
• New Accounts includes opening and processing the paperwork for new demand deposit, savings accounts, IRAs, HSAs, certificates of deposit, and money market/now accounts.
• Provide customers with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information 
• Ability to help order and help customers with Debit Cards, checks and deposit tickets
• Place stop payments when requested by customers
• Research and resolve problems and respond to customer inquiries
• Handle each transaction with care, sensitivity, and confidentiality
• Provide efficient, accurate and high-quality service while maintaining good customer relations and present oneself as an example of extraordinary quality service
• Answer customer inquiries and provide account information and updates as requested
• Ability to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new relationships by understanding customers’ needs while considering perspectives and priorities of different customers
• Perform daily teller functions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, night deposit, redemption of savings bonds, daily cash drawer balancing and loan payments following bank policy

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: 

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous teller and account experience preferred, but not required 
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills
• Computer operational skills and the ability to operate office equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
