The Product Systems Analyst gathers business requirements and validates product-related system changes to help ensure that insurance products, correspondence and related internal resources are produced in compliance with state regulations. Works with interdepartmental teams on formatting and design of forms and endorsements, documentation and validation of changes to the document generation and review systems, testing of new products, and support of the Underwriting staff.
Our preference is for this person to sit in one of our three offices (Boston, MA; East Lansing, MI or Omaha, NE).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage policy issuance system workflows and staff access

Write and maintain business requirements for new or modified products and policy issuance by consulting with the Product Development team

Work with IT, Actuarial and Underwriting to optimize implementations

Maintain policy document templates and template logic

Perform user acceptance testing and regression testing for issuance-related system updates

Perform user acceptance testing for template changes and resource updates

Adhere to team processes while making recommendations for improvements

Maintain automated product resources including web forms, lookup tables and Tableau dashboards

Assist in Product Development and Underwriting projects as needed

Creation and formatting of documents for staff utilization and reference

Provide training to business units on internal resources

Provide training to Underwriting on the policy issuance process
Education, Experience, Competencies & Values
-
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Willing to complete requirements of the RPLU or CPCU designation.

Knowledge of and experience in insurance is preferred.

One to two years' experience working on system projects involving business and/or technical requirements gathering and user acceptance testing

Proven analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities

Ability to learn new processes, applications, systems and workflow concepts – the employee will be required to become proficient in the use and understanding of the Company's core underwriting operating systems

Demonstrated success working independently and with cross-functional teams
