As a Universal Banker, you will perform teller functions that are both monetary and non-monetary, open new accounts, skillfully manage daily branch operations. As a Universal Banker, you will acquire, manage, retain meaningful relationships with our customers, understand their financial journey & milestones, make proper product or service recommendations and build strong internal relationships with various lines of business. Teller Functions: - Perform efficient and accurate Banking transactions, including managing cash, Wire-Transfers, opening new Consumer & Business accounts and onboarding new clients.
- Must have good understanding of CIP/KYC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for the Virginia Individual Development Account program and open accounts for participants in this program for the Department of Housing and Community Development.
- Serves as a backup for QwickRate CDs and Brokered CDs.
Customer Experience (CX) - Serves as the first point of contact for VCC clients, creates a positive and lasting impression by providing legendary CX.
- Identify customer life cycles to meet general and specific needs by recommending products and services for various lines of business.
- Educating clients on the digital platform and self-service features. Identify referral opportunities for other lines of business.
- Work closely with the Deposits team to successfully achieve goals and objectives to increase core deposit growth.
- Utilize the Salesforce to manage and assign inquiries received via inbox and web lead to the appropriate line of business.
Risk & Compliance - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for preserving brand reputation, safeguarding assets and client information.
- Adhere to proprietary and regulatory compliance requirements as they pertain to teller and sales functions. Good working knowledge of CIP/KYC and U.S. Patriot Act guidelines.
- Maintain active knowledge of policy and procedure updates, both regulatory and proprietary.
Branch Operations & Platform Assistance - Ensure the branch is open and closed as per policy.
- Cross-calibrate with other lines to business to gain holistic understanding of the business.
- Perform monthly cash audit functions, which include security report and alarm testing.
- Excellent communication and time management skills to ensure that all required training and assigned projects are completed in a timely manner.
Additional Qualifications/Requirements: - Minimum 2 years’ experience in processing teller transactions and opening new deposit accounts in a bank or credit union.
- Well-Managed organizational and decision-making skills. Adaptive and resilient to changing priorities and business needs.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral to deliver content and recommendations with a purpose.
Computer/Technology Skills - Excellent MS Office Suite, Acrobat & Windows file management.
- Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience.
- Experience with FISERV or core bank operating systems
- Experience with digital banking
