Commercial Loan Small Business Specialist
The State Bank
Makes and services all types of secured and unsecured loans or lines of credit, to include SBA loans. Maintain a high level of knowledge on all SBA loan products along with bank and SBA policy and procedures, ensuring these policies and practices are followed. This position involves interaction with Retail Banking personnel and is a resource for processing, packaging, documenting, funding, secondary market sales and servicing of the SBA loan portfolio. Assists senior officers and provides other customer services as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Attending to the needs of customers seeking loans or other bank products/services on terms that could involve large amounts of unsecured funds and/or credit secured by real estate or other collateral.
Follow current loans and lines of credit to ensure complete conformity with the terms and awareness of developing trends with the specific customer and the customer’s industry.
Interact with customers in correcting past due loan situations. Identify deterioration trends in loan relationships, develop and implement proactive plan to address identified weaknesses and mitigate potential loss to bank. Provides significant effort in calling on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business and achieve sales objectives for the department, division and the bank. Introduce/refer customers to other departments, to include joint calling efforts when appropriate. Maintain profitability in individual portfolio while adhering to established bank policy and procedures. Ability to perform work independently within an established field. Be available to answer specific questions on the products for existing and prospective customers, account officers and bank staff. Assist Market Manager with department budget and other related commercial lending activities as requested. Be actively involved in local community and bank sponsored activities. Participate in training and education designed for career development and advancement, with an emphasis on commercial and SBA lending.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Additional Salary Information: 16% of base salary available as bonus potential
