Provide risk management support for the lines of business in the identification, measurement and aggregation of key model risks through appropriate quantitative and analytical practices and processes.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to model risk and oversees model monitoring and validation processes, including performing independent validations.
Acts as the Bank's subject matter expert on model risk management and provides guidance and structure to the lines of business to ensure model governance processes are both appropriately implemented and sound.
Applies diverse methodologies and deep experience in quantitative analytics to identify and solve complex and/or undefined risk problems.
Monitors the risk and control environment to identify gaps in existing or proposed processes to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels and may consult on risk mitigation plans.
Utilizes advanced analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness and translates results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision making.
Applies advanced knowledge and industry best practices to quantify risk and aggregate exposures.
Engages in model validation and produces model validation reports.
Works with leadership to remediate gaps and improvements identified between existing practices and regulatory requirements.

Education & Training
Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics (or equivalent) required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
5-7 years' experience (preferably) in risk management, auditing, accounting, or finance functions; financial industry experience required. Experience in quantitative analytics preferred; Risk certifications a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience preferred.
