The Loan Compliance Officer is responsible for coordinating and developing programs to implement lending regulations, training and briefing management and staff, and working directly with examiners in the area of loan compliance; develops written policies and procedures, reviews new products and services for applicable compliance, analyze risks and effectiveness of the bank’s loan compliance program; advises management on loan compliance issues; and maintains bank records according to regulatory requirements. Serves as the CRA Officer for the bank.
Works with management and other business units to establish, implement and maintain procedures and policies for compliance with laws and regulations.
Informs management of compliance risks, breaches of compliance and proposed regulation changes.
Disseminates information regarding new or amended regulations to affected bank personnel.
Facilitates the implementation of new or changed banking regulations.
Prepares reports for executive management and the Board of Directors.
Provides for regulatory compliance training for bank employees.
Researches compliance questions from bank personnel.
Reviews bank forms and notices for compliance with applicable laws.
Participates in cross-functional team meetings to implement and execute bank initiatives.
Participates in the development of new products or services to ensure consideration of compliance issues.
Works with bank examiners and auditors.
Ensures corrective action on compliance audit findings.
Attends professional meetings, seminars, and continuing education programs to remain current in compliance, regulatory requirements and bank procedures.
Serves as the bank’s CRA Officer.
Ensures that the bank’s HMDA and CRA programs are compliant and effective.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of all American National Bank and Trust Company’s products, services, procedures, policies and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending; Regulation E; deposit, transaction and loan accounts.
Normal office working environment.
Travel to banking offices as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
7-10 years’ banking compliance experience.
Extensive knowledge of banking regulations.
Supervisory experience of 5 plus years.
