The Banking Core Applications Senior Analyst performs duties as they relate to the Bank’s Core application Signature. Works directly and collaborates with end users, management and third-party vendors to manage and maintain the Core banking applications. Acts as the subject matter expert for the Core, including participating on project teams, delivering training to end users and resolving on-going issues.
Position Summary: Under general direction, responsible for the development, management and growth of profitable client relationships focusing primarily on a clientele meeting minimum income/net worth criteria. This involves a combination of external prospecting and internal integration with partners, targeting professional groups, business executives, small business owners, high net worth individuals and centers of influence.
Territory Development and Relationship Expansion
Ensures accomplishment of portfolio production and growth goals (new households, deposit, loans) as well as referrals to internal partners.
Initiates calls to new prospects, existing clients and centers of influence with the objective of developing new business and providing solutions through consultative, needs based selling. Private Bankers offer the full suite of bank and wealth products, including deposits, loans, wealth planning, trust, treasury management, and mortgages insurance.
Provides ongoing superior relationship servicing of existing client base, including the resolution of service issues.
Develops and manages an extensive personal loan portfolio; performs all aspects of portfolio management, including, but not limited to collecting and maintaining current financial information; follows existing loans to ensure conformity with terms and to detect the development of unfavorable trends. Maintains contact with client throughout the approval and settlement process to ensure client satisfaction. Troubleshoots problems or issues with internal partners.
Works closely with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Commercial Relationship Managers within the region to identify key prospects and existing clients for further relationship development; makes appropriate referrals as warranted.
Maintains close relationships and makes appropriate referrals to business line partners, including, but not limited to Old Point Trust, Old Point Mortgage, Old Point Investments, Treasury Management and Insurance.
Represents the bank and provides leadership in key community activities including business, charitable, civic and social organizations.
Adheres to SAFE Act requirements when acting as a (MLO) mortgage loan originator.
Performs all work in compliance with applicable regulations/policy and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business development role.
Series 7 license preferred.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferrred.
Extensive knowledge of consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending; ability to analyze sophisticated financial situations and underwrite complicated and specialized lending arrangements.
