VCC is seeking a Director of Operations to support our team through our next stages of growth. This position is part of the leadership team and is critical to the success of the organization. VCC desires a strong, operational leader to help position the company for continued growth and data management and reporting.

Develop, implement, and update business strategies for operations, manage Operational risk, develop recommendations for additional automation that enhances business revenues and efficiency. Build a team of professionals capable of supporting VCC’s continued success and growth. This position will serve on the leadership team and advise executive management on Operations risk and strategies to support the organization’s growth objectives and new business lines, as they evolve. This position will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Loan Operations, Deposit Operations, and Compliance teams. Plan, organize, and control day to day operational activities. These departments support both the parent company and the bank. This position is responsible to bringing leadership and strategy to these efforts and drive for efficiency while supporting growth goals.
Manage and oversee operational aspects of Fiserv. Candidate must have a deep understanding of core system processing, parameters and reporting for all facets of the organization.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Commercial and Real Estate Loan Operations. The loan operations department directly report to this position – loan documentation expertise and commercial lending knowledge is essential. Candidate will need to serve as a player/coach working along with their direct loan operation reports to ensure the department is able to satisfy service level agreements, which includes processing payments, onboarding new loans and other VCC servicing needs as the workload demands.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Deposit Operations. The Deposit Operations Manager reports to this position, candidate must have ability to lead operational side of VCC Bank’s online and mobile deposit growth.
Ensure all operational aspects of the Banking entities operate in a safe and sound manner.
Responsible for quality and integrity of deposit and loan reporting, including reports generated for Senior Management and Board review.
Data Management: Responsible for leading VCC’s data management from the Fiserv system which includes leading the operations team to develop and generate ad hoc reports for business lines to make strategic decisions.
Compliance: Responsible for oversight of the Bank’s compliance program and relevant policies to ensure the bank is compliant with applicable laws and regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act.
Vendor Management: the position is responsible for overseeing the vendor management compliance program and need to ensure the company adheres to regulatory and internal risk standards.
Participate as an engaged leader and part of the leadership team. Provide vision and strategy to business initiatives, advance the financial success of the organization, and promote additional ideas for impact and growth. Establish and maintain a performance-based culture committed to VCC corporate values and mission.
Develop and deliver Operational solutions to challenges affecting the success of the organization, in conjunction with CRO and senior management. Solutions may include: change management, new systems, process improvements, risk analysis, fee-for-service reporting and processing, enhanced internal and board reporting, and potential merger integration.
Manage the organization’s business continuity plan and activities.
Ensure a high level of both internal and external customer service is provided.
Compensation and Benefits:
VCC offers a competitive salary based on experience and skills, as well as an excellent benefits package including health, disability and life insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, and paid time off. The salary range for this position is between $87,000-$136,000 depending on experience and industry knowledge.

Education, Experience, Certifications:
Candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in business and/or finance or business related major and at least ten (10) years experience. Must have a banking background and knowledge of all facets of banking and lending functions. Post graduate training in project management, banking school, and/or business degree desired. History of progressively responsible leadership positions in the financial services industry, especially in operations and commercial credit. Knowledge of the Virginia market, and familiarity with community development organizations, bankers, and other financial professionals a significant plus. Substantial experience with Fiserv or similar core processing system required.

Demonstrated knowledge of IT concepts and trends; ability to manage IT staff and vendors.
Familiarity with Outlook or similar network-based email and calendar software; Office 365 knowledge an added plus.
Experience with core banking systems and ancillary supporting products. Familiarity with FiServe is a plus.
