Job Title: Consumer/Residential Loan Assistant Status Non-Exempt
Department: Consumer & Residential Lending
Reports To: Consumer & Residential Lending
Primary Purpose of the JOB:
To assist the Consumer Loan and Residential Lending departments with the preparation of loans, answering phone calls, scheduling closings, ordering documents, and assisting with new projects.
Type loans for closing
Close loans, prepare subordinations, prepare loans for booking, maintain denials on yearly basis
Order necessary documents: title searches, flood evaluations, credit reports and appraisals
Answer customer and branch phone calls for rate information, blue book values, setting up customer closings and taking customer applications
Prepare and mail loan disclosures
Mail valuations to borrowers
Prepare escrow analysis
Assist branch personnel with processing consumer loans
Order customer credit line checks
Update loan files status
Process wire payments for loan disbursements
Order supplies for the Loan Center
Place orders for service calls on the equipment at the Loan Center
Check the Loan Center mailbox and distribute the mail
Accept deliveries to the Loan Center i.e.: Fed Ex, UPS etc.
Distribute incoming faxes to employees at the Loan Center
Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly and yearly reports for consumer loans
Greet customers in the Loan Center and notify employees of their arrival
Create and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining timely and prompt daily attendance
Ability to make deliveries to post office, Fed Ex, UPS when necessary
Other duties as assigned
Up to one-year related job experience
Customer service experience
Must have a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of MS Office, Navigator, Director, Premier Platform, MS Access
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
Good attention to detail and confident ability to make decisions
Ability to work independently
High school diploma or equivalency (GED)
Office environment with little exposure to physical hazards or conditions
Ability to enter data into a computer and work with computer programs: Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
Ability to reach with hands and fingers, touching computer buttons/adding machine buttons for extended periods of time
Ability to use fingers and hands to answer telephone repeatedly
