Description: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the banks system-wide information technology systems. This includes the analysis, design, development, and implementation of automated information and communication systems. Work includes consulting with system users and defining needs, analyzing systems problems and designing solutions, developing systems requirements and procedures, engineering and implementing technology solutions. Researches, proposes and implements new technologies while maintaining updated information on trends that will affect organization's ability to meet and exceed strategic business goals.
Provide advanced technical assistance to bank staff by researching solutions or working directly with vendors as needed.
Ensures that all work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards.
Develops higher levels of technical skill and knowledge by participating in on-the-job-training, formal education, or other professional development activities.
Maintains comprehensive documentation of Backup and Recovery procedures and is responsible for accurate data recovery. Must adhere to and assist with the development of Backup and recovery procedures.
Recommends information technology strategies to management by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Monitors and maintains internal server and services such as VM-Ware, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Oversees antivirus/endpoint protection software across the corporate network and provides quarterly reports to senior management.
Enforces computing security policies and procedures.
Oversees and assists with software installation and maintenance tasks.
Responsible for software patch compliance. Coordinates and performs necessary software functionality and security updates.
Develops references, resource and procedural materials to resolve problems.
Researches and recommends new or updated hardware and software, including servers, routers/switches, PC’s, printers, scanners, copiers, MFP’s, VOIP telephones, etc.
Evaluates, maintains and develops various network systems, including LAN/WAN, internet based systems, intranets and voice communication.
Tests new hardware or software supplied by vendors to determine the scope of capabilities, accuracy of functions, and level of user literacy required to operate the system.
Oversees employee network and computer system security and role assignments as well as creation and termination of all employees ID’s and access for all internal systems.
Develop and maintain computer configuration procedures.
Oversees the day to day maintenance and operation of bank's equipment.
Works directly with the VOIP system, making necessary changes to extension numbers, adding users, deleting users, setting voice mail, troubleshooting issues, purchasing and installing phones, works with vendors regarding communication lines internally and externally.
Oversees guest wireless access points and security.
Ensures that all support tickets have been worked in a timely manner.
Responsible for VMware virtual environment maintenance and problem resolution.
Aids in the design and implementation of VMware Virtual infrastructure.
Manages and maintains Active Directory and Group policies.
Assists with software training for customers and other staff.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR REGISTRATION:
A+ & Network+ certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Microsoft MCSE / MCSA preferred. VMware VCP certification or equivalent training and or experience preferred.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of experience may substitute for one year of education. Three years of information technology experience which includes some small team / project leadership preferred.
