We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Lender in our Geneseo location to build and strengthen business with new and existing clients by providing agricultural and financial services while developing strong relationships. This lender must have agricultural and business knowledge to understand each client's financial position while serving as a community bank resource to help the client manage their Agricultural operation.
Primary duties include:
Loan Origination: Responsible for cultivating, underwriting and delivering agricultural and commercial credit to new and existing clients. Accept applications, gathering income information and verifying financials for new and existing clients. Works with other lenders and credit analysts to recommend and secure a credit decision.
Business Development: Builds and maintains new client relationships through frequent contact and personal visits.
Lending Team: Responsible for developing recommendations and implementations of new agricultural credit policies with other lenders on the team.
Community Involvement: Must be actively involved throughout the community through memberships and volunteer work.
Bachelor’s Degree in related business field, minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to analyze credit data, understand client financials and exercise judgement when approving or declining loans.
Must have experience and knowledge of the Agricultural Industry to include soil/crop management, seed & fertilizer, Ag equipment, Ag technology, livestock and other knowledge related to the geographical area served.
Must have community banking knowledge, including the areas of interest rates, financing options and counseling clients on their financial situation.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is based upon experience and proven ability to attract business. Compensation package also includes performance based incentives.
