XY Planning Network (XYPN) is the leading organization for fee-only financial advisors who want to serve their Gen X and Gen Y peers, providing comprehensive financial planning services for a monthly subscription fee and without product sales or asset minimums. The Network offers a virtual community for new and established financial advisors who want to serve a younger clientele, and provides its members compliance support services, marketing support, business tools and templates, and a wide range of technology solutions.
We are looking for a seasoned, creative executive with a passion for XY Planning Network members. As the Chief Engagement Officer (CNO), you will take full ownership for the services and products we provide our members. You’ll be tasked with developing the service and product strategy for XYPN, creation of project plans, and implementation of our strategic vision. In this position you will collaborate closely with our CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer.
Oversee the four departments dedicated to our members: Member Services, Advisor Success, Compliance, and Events. Using our strategic vision as your guide; you are able to think ahead, anticipate issues, and take the initiative to get things done!
Gain a comprehensive understanding of member experience, identify and fill gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve member experience, and drive (enthusiastic!) retention
Create buy-in for membership value vision both internally and with key external partners
Act as a membership evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Represent the company by visiting with members to solicit feedback on company services and products
Determines our members’ needs and desires by collecting and analyzing membership data
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future service and product lines by reviewing needs and requirements, as well as appraising new ideas and/or service changes as needed
Assesses market competition by comparing the company's services to competitors' services and making thoughtful recommendations as needed
Introduces and markets new services to members
Determines service pricing
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; consistently following up on work results
Maintains thriving teams by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new team members. You love getting the right people in the right seats, and helping them have all the tools they need to succeed!
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contributes to our “win together - lose together” team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Authorized to live and work in the United States
Experience building high performing teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent
Experience managing high performance teams within the financial services industry
Deep subject matter expertise into financial services, particularly the needs of fee-only RIA’s
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable
Understanding of and ability to create healthy, forward-thinking organizational culture
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. You’re an active listener and positive communicator!
