The Operations Specialist will support the HHSB operations team by securing and protecting all customer information/systems, including but not limited to loan and deposit account contracts/documents. They will be responsible for safeguarding bank assets, managing loan and deposit data, and tracking and scanning all new account openings. They will also assist all branches and departments with error resolution and aid in the sales process by providing a source of referrals.
Maintain banks escrow portfolio
Maintain loan investor accounts and servicing
Maintain the general ledger by balancing clearing accounts and third-party accounts as directed
Understand and maintain legal documents when necessary
Understand and have a working knowledge of all HHSB Products and Services along with their USP’s (Unique Selling Proposition) and be able to effectively communicate the benefits of each
Have a working knowledge of all security and compliance procedures as directed
Compliance with all BSA Policies and Regulations
Check back new/revised accounts and loans for error resolution
Document review and entry
Deposit and Loan account maintenance
Communicates with internal and/or external customers to solve issues
Maintaining user knowledge of all systems needed to process operational tasks
Takes on ownership by reviewing existing processes and making recommendations for improvements
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
3 years banking experience and JHA knowledge preferred
Excellent organization & communication skills with great attention to detail
Excellent decision-making & problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
Teamwork – Balances team and individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback
Analysis – Collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data
Maintain/Service Credit Card portfolio through third party
Understand all aspects of the loan operations (portfolio and sold), including but not limited to: Posting payments, payoffs, escrow accounting, escrow analysis, draw request, balancing, disbursing loan funds
Understand all aspects of the deposit operations, including but not limited to: Balancing, Reg CC, ACH process, debit cards, wires, cash letter clearing
Experience working with and an understanding of legal documents (including but not limited to recording and releasing of mortgage documents)
