Prairie Community Bank located in Marengo, IL is seeking an experienced, energetic and driven professional that will direct and coordinate activities of the loan officers and Mortgage Loan Originator for our three locations. This position is full-time and reports to the President/ CEO and works closely with the Chief Credit Officer, to ensure the overall quality of the Bank’s lending portfolio and program. Salary commiserate with experience, plus incentives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates as a member of the Bank’s Loan Committee and Director’s Loan Committee.
Ensures the development and pursuit of effective marketing strategies to create a strong brand image for the Bank by working closely with the Bank’s Marketing
Coordinator and is a member of the bank Marketing committee.
Establish and maintain a strong sales culture within the organization.
Leads the Client Relations Committee.
Manages the branch activities through supervision of branch management.
Providing leadership and oversight of staff development.
Determines personnel requirements for loan originations and branch personnel.
Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
Responsible for training, reviewing and evaluating performance of lending and branch personnel.
Develop and execute deposit strategies.
Responsible for communication, negotiation and coordination with attorneys regarding loans.
Soliciting, negotiating and coordinating the closing of loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
Coordinates activities of calling program such as sales, deposit and loan services; promotes new business.
Act as a representative of the bank in the business and local community; develop a referral network.
Develop and execute loan portfolio strategies, monitor the performance of loans and work to mitigate risks.
Originates, maintains and actively manages the consumer and commercial loan portfolio.
Authorizes loans of specified types and amounts when permitted by institution regulations.
Analyzes and complies with government laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain customer relationships.
Responsible for loan portfolio management, including secondary market activity.
Executes Strategic Plan directives.
Assumes responsibility for special projects and gathers data and prepares reports for the President/CEO.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in lending, management, credit/ underwriting and business development.
