The Job: What You Will Do
You will be a leader within the Facet family and a key player in helping our planners deliver incredible comprehensive financial life management to our clients. As a team coach, you will lead an awesome team of planners, inspiring them in the work they do, living the Facet values and supporting the delivery of an unparalleled client experience (you should see our NPS scores!). At Facet, we are firm believers that human advisors are the key to true quality advice and Facet provides our planners the tools and innovative technology to help clients achieve their goals. Your job is to provide our planners the environment they need to do their best for our clients. You’ll be focused on planner onboarding, training, coaching, development and for setting the standard for planning delivery, ensuring that our planners are at their best and help the planning team with those fun and challenging planning issues.

Specific Job Requirements:
You will directly lead a team of 10-15 financial planners working remotely across the country and be responsible for developing and growing their capabilities.
Coach team members and the team as a whole on plan development, client delivery and ongoing relationship management
Lead in the “Facet Way” which is how we think about our clients, how we create plans for their lives and how we deliver on them. Measure this through NPS and client retention.
Build a virtual team environment using video, phone, email, online tools to ensure our planning team is constantly engaged in our mission and contributing to building our planning solutions.
Work with our operations, sales and transitions teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Onboard new planner talent to our team, teach them how we deliver great plans and support them in becoming amazing Facet planners.
Act as a critical resource for our planning team to help in resolving planning and client challenges.
Inspire the team to constantly iterate on ways to improve our onboarding, training, and planning experiences for our planners and our clients.
Support our overall business growth and evolution by contributing to various projects and strategic initiatives.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
10 years+ experience in planning, advising and leading teams.
CFP® certification is preferred for this position. It is expected that you will have a desire to pursue additional industry and financial planning related continuing education. We want our team members to have a constant desire to improve personally and professionally!
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills
Client first attitude, professional demeanor, personal integrity and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility
Experience in leading, coaching and developing high performing individuals and teams
Background and experience in the financial services industry; knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
Excellent computer skills along with the ability to learn in-house software and tools – This is critical as we are not only a financial services company but also a tech startup!

Some travel required primarily to visit planner home offices.
