The Office of Regulations supports and provides strategic direction for the Bureau’s rulemaking, interpretive guidance and regulatory implementation functions.
As the Assistant Director for Regulations, you will:
Work with Divisional and Bureau senior management to plan, establish, direct, coordinate and evaluate CFPB’s rulemaking and interpretive guidance activities relating to the business conduct of providers of consumer financial products and services
Direct a rulemaking program that is participatory and evidence-based, and which has significant impact on the health and stability of the U.S. economy, as well as significant nationwide interest
Formulate and develop the policies, procedures, and guidelines for conducting sophisticated rulemaking and interpretive guidance activities related to consumer finance
Implement a team vision with goals and objectives that are communicated to staff and aligned to CFPB strategic objectives

Successful applicants may have public sector, private sector, academic or non-profit experience related to consumer finance or another complex regulatory or self-regulatory system.
