Ledyard National Bank is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our Private Banking team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and their families while developing relationships through networking with internal and external centers of influence, proactive community involvement, board membership and collaboration with other business-line leaders within Ledyard. The Relationship Manager will act as an advisor and provide comprehensive lending, banking and wealth management solutions for the unique and complex needs of our clients and prospects. Areas of focus for the Relationship Manager will include high net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business executives and professionals in the medical, dental, educational, legal and real estate fields with the expectation to retain and grow the client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new client relationships to increase private bank lending, bank deposits, brokerage and wealth management relationships.
Candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in personal banking, lending and/or wealth management; preferably with a CFP® or CWS® designation. Excellent client relationship management skills and first class presentation and effective communication skills are essential as is the ability to guide, listen and influence internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should have an understanding of private banking, delivering exceptional service and the proven ability to work effectively across all lines of business.
