We are looking for a driven individual to help tell the story of German American by driving the future of our employees we serve. As an Instructional Design Intern, you will work closely with the training team to equip team members with the skills and tools that will assist them in carrying out their job responsibilities. This position will also focus on developing participant-centered educational content to support the organization’s vision and prepare employees for continued growth in their careers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Daily Grind – You will analyze, design, and develop educational content.
Works with Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to design, develop, edit, update and training materials (eLearning, face-to-face or virtual instructor-led training) using adult learning principles to enhance the learning experience.
Rapidly create a variety of impactful course materials and tools such as: course templates, participant guides, job aids, eLearning tutorials, software simulations, learning assessments, and other supplemental learning.
You’re Part of a Team – You are a member of the training team. You will assist team members by answering questions related to instructional design processes, procedures and services.
And you have to be able to juggle – Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and training and development team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.
Undergraduate student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Occupational Training and Development or other related discipline from an accredited college/university.
Minimum GPA of 2.8 (cumulative)
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to: communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
Knowledge of instructional design methodologies, specifically ADDIE.
Previous experience in an office setting
Demonstrated ability to link performance objectives with desired business outcomes.
Experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 to design online modules and virtual classroom platform such as WebEx Training Center.
Knowledge of Kirkpatrick’s evaluation methods.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories
