SUMMARY: Responsible for promoting business for the Bank by delivering an excellent customer experience to our existing clients and to prospective clients. The Deposit Account Representative will perform assigned duties under the general supervision of the VP/Operations Officer. This is a full-time position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Open and close certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts.
Perform account maintenance on deposit accounts.
Deposit development with national, state, and local organizations.
Responsible for deposit activity within the Bank’s core processing system to ensure correct interest calculation.
Responsible for managing deposit relationships associated with the Bank’s participation in the Community Development Financial Institutions Bank Enterprise Awards program.
Ensures compliance with account opening procedures including customer information procedures.
Communicates with internal and external clients.
Maintains client file documentation for deposit renewals and other activity.
Completes assigned compliance tests as scheduled.
Participates and attends various bank meetings and training events to enhance customer relationships and grow the bank.
Serves as a member of the compliance committee.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Prepares and presents periodic reports to management.
KNOWLEDGE AND WORKSKILLS:
Desires 2 years of new accounts/customer service experience, preferably in banking.
Associate’s degree desired, preferably in business.
Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills: detail oriented with strong customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential documentation and information.
Strong computer knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
Light lifting on occasion.
